Sam runs an online
activity directory for children from home at Basingstoke in
Hampshire. Sam launched her business on March 20th 2006.
Tell us about your business
or work. What business field are you in and what is your role?
www.whatson4littleones.co.uk
is an online directory of activities for babies, toddlers and pre-school
children. We cover most of the South and South-East of England and
add more activities every day!
I manage all aspects of the site on a daily basis this involves
coordinating our sales team, assisting our advertisers, working
on future changes to the website, arranging PR and advertising plus
the admin involved in running a business – phew!
 What
inspired you to work from home?
So I could see my daughter whenever I wanted!
What is the best thing about working
from home?
Spending loads of time with Alice whilst still achieving something
for myself
What is the hardest thing about working
from home?
“Step away from the PC!”
Do you have a good support network?
Hubbie is fantastic and his help means I can catch up with things
in the evening and do a “bit” at weekends too.
What is the best piece of business
advice that you have been given?
Go for it!
Do you find it easy to separate working
time and personal time at home?
No, it’s hard, harder than I thought but I am trying to get
better!
Where do you hope to see yourself
in 2 years time and what is your greatest business wish or ambition?
I want www.whatson4littleones.co.uk to be nationwide! And if we
were a household name that would be the biggest thrill!
